Kevin SarloHe’ll ‘change the world’FORT MYERS | Kevin Sarlo, a member of St. Cecilia Parish, graduated summa cum laude from Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers and will be attending the University of Notre Dame on a full academic scholarship. The National Merit finalist was a member of the thespians (acting) club, art club and the A-Team and considers one of his highlights when he acted in a production of “Children of Eden.” Kevin started his Catholic education at St. Francis Xavier School, also in Fort Myers. “What I found best is that a Catholic education doesn’t focus on academics alone, but focuses on spiritual worship encircling the entire person,” he said. He also has a supportive extended family but admits that he is very self-motivated. “The more stuff I have to do, the more focused I become and the more I thrive,” Kevin said. “You just have to be prepared.” Kevin expects to major in English and history at Notre Dame but said he knows that “no matter what, I’ll change the world.”
