JOSEPHINE’S SHRIMP SAUCE FOR PASTA

Ingredients

  • ½ stick butter
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • saute 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • add 1 or 1 ½ lbs shrimp, (chop for tastier sauce)
  • saute till shrimp turn white
  • add chopped fresh parsley, about ½ bunch
  • ½ cup white wine
  • ½ cup water
  • crushed red pepper
  • black pepper
  • salt

Directions

  • Saute garlic in butter and olive oil. Add shrimp. Saute until shrimp turn white. Add white wine, water and seasonings to taste. Simmer few minutes, let stand while pasta cooks. Enough for 1 ½ lbs pasta.
