MACARONI AND CHEESE

Ingredients

  • 8oz. pkg. elbow macaroni
  • 1 large handful of corn flakes
  • 2 cups small curd cottage cheese
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) fat-free sour cream
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • paprika

Directions

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain well. Combine cottage cheese and macaroni and the next five ingredients; stir well. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle evenly with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until bubbly. Before putting it all in your casserole you can put a light layer of cheddar on the bottom of your casserole pan. And, a little on the top if you want.
