Become a member of the Advocacy Network

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord:

As Catholics we have a profound responsibility to pursue justice for our neighbors and protect the sacredness of the life of every man, women and child — born or unborn. We write to you today, to tell you of an exciting opportunity to fulfill this important duty and make your voice heard in the halls of our state Capitol and the chambers of our lawmakers in Washington.

Through the Florida Catholic Conference (FCC) Advocacy Network, we can raise our voices as one and speak out collectively on issues at the heart of our Gospel values. Together, we can work to end the tragedy of abortion. We can help decision makers recognize the innate human dignity of those who are poor, sick, disabled, elderly or imprisoned. We can assist parents in choosing the most appropriate schools for their children. We can welcome those coming to our state and nation as immigrants seeking a better life for themselves and their families.

We are asking you to become involved. There is no cost to you and very little commitment of time. Through the FCC Advocacy Network, you will be kept informed of important issues of concern to the Church and alerted when action is needed. Taking action requires no more than a timely placed phone call or e-mail. The Florida Catholic Conference will provide you with text on key issues, or you can provide your own message to lawmakers. You will be able to contact your elected officials with just a few clicks of a mouse.

Please join today. We urge you to become a member of the FCC Advocacy Network. You can sign up simply by visiting the Florida Catholic Conference Web site at www.flacathconf.org or sending an e-mail to fccadvocacy@flacathconf.org.

We are personally grateful for your commitment to protect and serve your fellow Floridians. Please be assured that you and your family, as always, are in our prayers.

Sincerely yours in the Lord,
