Student garden

Trinity Catholic School second-graders tend the garden they planted beside the Tallahassee schools’ middle school building at the beginning of the school year. Connie Hill, the second-grade teacher, leads her students to grow and learn about plants, as she had done for the last four years. The students faithfully tend the garden, learning to identify the flowers, herbs and other plants that grow in it. Along the way, they also learn about reusing and recycling. They planted the hydrangeas that first appeared on the altar at Blessed Sacrament Parish for Easter Masses in the garden this spring. The peaceful garden serves as the gathering place for morning prayer for teachers, faculty and staff.
