DANIEL SOÑÉ | FC
MISSION SUNDAY | About 300 children from around Chinandega, Nicaragua are fed once a month at a home for the elderly from food supplies the home care barely afford to share. Some are fortunate to be among the first 300 in line, but others, like this little boy, can only wait on the outside and hope that there might be food to spare. According to the home’s director, Father Francisco Solarza, “These children are the poorest of the poor. They gather food in the landfills and from garbage bins around Chinandega.” Read Daniel Soñé’s reports from Nicaragua HERE.
Martha Desposito, immediate past president of the St. Vincent de Paul Council for the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, discusses the membership recruitment display set up by the Holy Spirit conference of the charitable organization with Rosemary Mead. Read the story HERE.
