WEST PALM BEACH | As part of a national pro-life campaign called 40 Days for Life, Bishop Gerald M. Barbarito joined the faithful Oct. 10 on the sidewalks near the Presidential Women’s Center in West Palm Beach, a facility that offers abortions. Bishop Barbarito led a group in the recitation of the rosary. This fall, 89 cities in 33 states across the nation encourage and offer prayer sessions and peaceful gatherings in an attempt to raise awareness of pro-life issues and to pray for the end of abortion. The intensive effort designed to save lives runs through Nov. 4. To participate locally, call the diocesan Respect Life Office at 561-775-9565 for locations and activities.
