Father Pasquini installed at St. John of the Cross

VERO BEACH | Father John Pasquini was officially installed as pastor of St. John of the Cross Parish July 20.

Bishop Gerald M. Barbarito presided during a Mass and installation ceremony, which was well attended by parishioners, guests and priests from the northern deanery.

Father Pasquini studied at the University of California, St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami and St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, earning a bachelor degree in philosophy and master’s degrees in theology and divinity. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1998.

In the Diocese of Palm Beach, Father Pasquini has served as a parochial vicar at St. Joan of Arc in Boca Raton, St. Clare in North Palm Beach, St. Juliana in West Palm Beach and St. Jude in Tequesta, and was spiritual moderator for the diocese’s Respect Life Office. He also was a chaplain at Ave Maria University in the Diocese of Venice.

An accomplished writer, Father Pasquini is a frequent contributor and columnist for the Florida Catholic since 2001 and has authored 15 books, including “Early Christian Teachings,” “Stations of the Cross” and “Why Catholic?” He is also the editor of Shepherds of Christ, a priestly newsletter distributed worldwide.

Father Pasquini succeeds retiring pastor Father John Crowley.
