Celebrating Married LifeCouples from around the Diocese of Palm Beach gathered at St. Helen Parish in Vero Beach on Feb. 23 for a special Mass celebrated by Bishop Gerard M. Barbarito. Jason Collins was there for the Florida Catholic and filed these photographs of a few of the happy couples.
Albert Commette and his wife, Anita, cut a wedding cake during a celebration of married life at St. Helen Parish. The couple have been married 72 years, and held the record for married years during the diocesan celebration of marriage Feb. 23.
Catherine and Henry Klass join another lovey-dovey avian couple during a reception after the Mass celebrating married life. The Klasses are celebrating 60 years of marriage, and the doves, well, no one is sure.
Not that they needed a special reason, but Joan and Vito Fede used their celebration of 50 years of marriage for another excuse to exchange a kiss.
Mary and Larry Williams, who are celebrating 40 years of marriage, look upon a pair of doves on display at St. Helen Parish during diocesan events honoring married couples Feb. 23.
