High school scholarships available

Melbourne Central Catholic High School is offering $4,000 scholarships to incoming ninth–grade students for the 2009–2010 school year. This is the first year the St. Francis Scholarship is being offered. It was established by an anonymous donor to recognize students who have shown a commitment to their Catholic faith.

To qualify, students must be entering ninth grade and be registered in a Catholic religious education program or have attended a Catholic school. The scholarship form is available on the school’s Web site, www.melbournecc.org. The deadline is June 29. Winners will be notified by mail during the first week of July.

For more information, contact Tracy Steele at 321–727–0793, ext. 302.
