Bishop Thomas Wenski prepares to lead the Oct. 13 “Sunny Side Up” poker run, a fundraiser for Catholic Charities of Central Florida Inc. The route began at Siemens Corp. in Orlando and ended at St. Stephen Parish in Winter Springs. Because of his schedule, Bishop Wenski does not often get a chance to ride his motorcycle. “I helped create this occasion so I’d have an excuse to ride,” Bishop Wenski said with a smile. Catholic Charities plans to make this an annual event to benefit the homeless.
