More housing for the homelessPosted: 06.17.08 People who were formerly homeless and those living in poverty will soon have a new place to live in downtown Miami: Labre Place, a nine-story, 90-unit residence named after Benedict Joseph Labre, the patron saint of the homeless. Labre Place is a joint project of Biscayne Housing Group, Carlisle Development Group and Camillus House, which has served the homeless in the Miami area since 1960 and is sponsored by the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd.
